Air systems TAB
Independent testing, adjustment, and balancing of supply, return, exhaust, outside-air, and terminal-unit systems.
Plan a project Independent third-party TAB
Unbiased air and hydronic testing, adjustment, and balancing for commercial, institutional, and mission-critical facilities—backed by calibrated instruments, practical field coordination, and actionable reporting.

Professional membership
BSP is a member of the AABC Commissioning Group, supporting our commissioning practice and commitment to independent systems verification. ACG membership is separate from AABC TAB agency certification.
Learn about ACGWhat we do
We establish how the system is actually operating, make the required adjustments, document deficiencies, and deliver results the project team can use.
Independent testing, adjustment, and balancing of supply, return, exhaust, outside-air, and terminal-unit systems.
Pump and system verification, flow measurement, balancing, equipment performance checks, and clear final reporting.
Controls verification, functional testing, issue tracking, and system coordination as a complementary secondary service.
Project experience
Our portfolio is presented in two clearly labeled groups so owners can see both BSP's current project work and the experience its leadership brings from previous firms.
01 BSP project portfolio
BSP's current contracted project experience is focused on Vidor ISD school facilities. Every image in this group represents work performed through Building System Professionals.

02 Prior professional experience
These projects were performed by BSP's principal while employed by other companies. They are shown to demonstrate individual technical experience and are not represented as BSP contracts.

Confirm design values, scope, access, prerequisites, and reporting requirements.
Verify systems are complete, controls are stable, and equipment is ready for balancing.
Test performance, balance distribution, and identify conditions preventing design operation.
Deliver clear readings, deficiencies, final results, and actionable documentation.

Field notes
Publishing specific, experience-based guides like these gives owners a reason to find, trust, and return to your site.
Duct leakage
What leakage is, why supply- and return-side leaks behave differently, and what a proper duct leakage test actually proves.
Read the field noteBuilding pressure
A field-focused look at tracing pressure complaints through measured airflow, exhaust, outside air, return paths, and controls operation.
Read the field noteHydronic systems
Flow, head, valve position, temperature, pump speed, and equipment data organized into a useful performance picture.

TAB measures system performance, adjusts air and water distribution, verifies equipment operation, documents deficiencies, and records final results against the design values. The exact scope depends on the systems, project specifications, and readiness of the installation and controls.
No—not yet. BSP provides independent TAB services but is not currently represented as an AABC-certified TAB agency. BSP's ACG membership and commissioning certification are separate credentials, and proposals should state project-specific qualification requirements accurately.
Early coordination helps identify missing balancing devices, access problems, incomplete controls requirements, and unrealistic schedules before they become field delays. Final balancing should begin only after systems are complete, clean, operating, and under stable automatic control.
TAB measures and adjusts air and water systems to achieve required performance. Commissioning is a broader owner-focused quality process that verifies systems meet project requirements and operate together as intended. BSP leads with TAB and offers commissioning support as a complementary service.
Yes. BSP is Texas based and provides nationwide on-site verification and project coordination, subject to schedule and project requirements.
